Founded in 1993, Ofil is a leader firm for designing and developing of Solar Blind UV systems using proprietary UV-c Band-Pass filtering technology. Ofil gained a worldwide reputation for quality and reliability. Ofil's
DayCor® product family provides solutions for:
• Maintenance in the electrical utility industry
• Detection for the homeland security special needs
• Trains electrical propelled
• Petrochemical industries
Established as a start-up company, Ofil was funded by the chief Israeli scientist and supported by EPRI-USA research laboratories. Being a mature company, Ofil employs highly skilled and dedicated workforce.
Ofil's flagship product is the DayCor® solar blind corona imager system. Within a decade Ofil's systems have been introduced sold and used in more than 30 countries in: North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania and in Israel.
In 2005, Ofil entered into a joint venture with ELOP Electro Optics Industries Ltd., an international company, subsidiary of Elbit Systems to combine the strengths and advantages of both companies.
 
Ofil – A Technology Fast 50 Winner
Ofil was announced as one of the fast 50 Israeli technology companies that match the criteria of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program, which is a part of the Global Fast 500 program conducted worldwide. The 2011 Israeli Fast 50 program ranks Israeli technology companies based on their five-year revenue growth in percentages between 2006 and 2010 based on audited figures.
For a consecutive year, the second time in a row, Ofil was found eligible for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program due to:
- Being a technology company that owns proprietary intellectual technology that contributes to a significant portion of its own operating revenues
- Devoting a significant proportion of revenues to R&D of technology
- Exhibiting revenue growth of at least 16.8% in 2010 in comparison to 2006
- Headquartered in Israel
